Total loss assessments and ABI salvage categorisation
FCA ensure all salvage vehicles are collected free of charge. The recovered funds from salvage are collected from the sale and
our in-house engineering team produce a total loss report informing the client of the key details. The whole process is carried
out in house, FCA have everything in place to centrally manage our clients’ requirements.
Managed repair process
FCA centrally manage all aspects of each & every claim to ensure that from start to finish, every claim is managed in an efficient
& dynamic way. Ensuring VOR and repair costs are kept to a minimum. with over 30 years’ experience, FCA have the expertise
& industry knowledge to make sure clients and their drivers are back on the road without delay. Following FNOL, a repairer
will be instructed to provide a repair estimate within 48 hours. The estimate will be interrogated and scrutinised ensuring
the correct methodology and parts are used. Following QC the invoices are audited against the engineers reports, providing
a complete auditable trail.
The repairer will book the vehicle in for repair providing a courtesy car. Once the repairs are complete the repair invoice
will be scrutinised & paid. The engineers will provide an engineer’s report for any TP recoveries & the claims team
pursues any TP for recovery. From FNOL to recovery the procedures & processes Fleet Claims have in place ensures each &
every claim is completed as it should be.
Desktop and physical inspections
FCA have a team of fully qualified in house engineers, based in Bicester. The team process repair estimates from the approved network
ensuring the correct repair method for each repair is carried out. Estimates are sent to FCA using Audatex (industry standard
estimating system) and are scrutinised against the details provided at the incident reporting stage. The majority of estimates
are authorised via desktop inspection, utilising the latest imaging and video technology.
Where required the engineers will carry out a physical inspection at the repairer & agree the repair method & repair
costs with the estimator. Our engineering team are recognised throughout the industry for their professionalism and proven
track record in reducing costs without compromising on repair quality and integrity.
